About the CABIC and The Black Issues Forum
Carolina Alumni Black Issues Council (CABIC) was created to monitor and engage the UNC-Chapel Hill community on issues related to the recruitment, retention & success of Black students, faculty & staff. We believe that fostering an inclusive and thriving Black community is fundamental to maintaining the diverse and dynamic environment that UNC-Chapel Hill is known for.
Our annual Black Issues Forum, a centerpiece of our Black Alumni Reunion, is an event that brings together the experiences, insights, and ideas of our community. Through this forum, we aim to spotlight and discuss the pressing issues facing the Black community on campus and beyond. It is an essential platform that instills pride, drives conversations, and incites the kind of thought that sparks progress.
THIS YEARS FORUM TOPIC IS
Leveraging Alumni Networks and Mentorship for Career Advancement Among Black Students and Recent Graduates.
